Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; reconcile accounts; support close processes.
- General Ledger Management - Maintain GL accuracy, post journal entries, and ensure proper coding aligned with company policy.
- Cost Accounting - Track production costs, analyze variances, and support inventory valuation for polymer manufacturing workflows.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable - Process invoices, monitor aging, ensure timely collections, and maintain vendor compliance.
- Budget Support - Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and departmental spend analysis.
- Audit & Compliance - Support internal and external audits; maintain documentation; ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies.
- Process Improvement - Identify efficiency opportunities, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Partner with operations, procurement, HR, and leadership to ensure financial clarity and support decision‑making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data, communicate clearly, and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to high‑quality financial work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in polymer, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and production workflows.
- Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with cross‑functional teams.
Compensation: Competitive salary and bonus package
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week, on-site (no hybrid or remote work)
