Appointment Specialist in Albany, New York at Albany ENT & Allergy Services P C

We are currently searching for an Appointment Specialist to join our team. Aside from scheduling and rescheduling appointments over the phone, responsibilities include:

• Maintain communication between physicians and patients, as well as monitoring and distributing provider schedules as required
• Register new patients, verify insurance eligibility, and ensure patients provide pre-visit documentation and referrals
• Work with referring providers to ensure appropriate care plans
• Answering and triaging calls, record keeping, and filing
• Update and maintain accurate electronic medical records prior to patient visit

We are excited to provide flexible work arrangements for the Appointment Specialist. This position is fully remote (New York State only). It is a full-time position and the scheduled shifts are 11am-7pm with Saturday mornings on a rotating basis (every 6-8 weeks).

• High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of experience in a medical environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Proficient computer skills including ability to master the office’s practice management software
• Consistent professional conduct, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking skills and appositive attitude are essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Candidates must reside in the greater Capital region of NYS.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $18 to $21. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
