Basic Function

The HUB Manager is responsible for leading, at the direction of the HUB director, day-to-day operations, with an emphasis on the student face-to-face and administrative duties. They include new student registration and orientation processes, relationship building with students, their families and community, data collection, reporting, to use for continuous improvement. This position is responsible for maintaining and developing a positive site culture focused on student-owned learning. Additionally, the HUB Manager will work with the HUB departments and company’s staff to plan and execute engagement strategies/activities. It is crucial for this position to understand the needs of youth and find creative ways to implement a safe environment that encourages engagement, which will lead to retention and student achievement. This is an on-site position with the primary location being the HUB.

The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the HUB Manager efficacy and successfulness is attendance of unique students at the assigned HUB location each month. Success in this position will be determined by meeting the required attendance for the assigned site at least 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

  1. Relationship Building: Cultivate positive relationships with students, their families, and the local community. Act as a point of contact for addressing student and family concerns.
  2. Student Enrollment: Work with community partners, marketing, enrollment, and business development departments, and former students to drive new student enrollments at the location. Serve as a program onboarding location for new students who enroll.
  3. Data Collection & Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to student services for continuous improvement. Prepare reports and share insights with the HUB director and relevant stakeholders to increase HUB participation and enrollments.
  4. Site Culture: Maintain and develop a positive site culture that emphasizes student-owned learning. Collaborate with staff to implement initiatives promoting a supportive environment that leads to student success and graduates.
  5. Engagement Strategies/Activities: Work closely with HUB and company staff to plan and execute engagement strategies and activities. Foster an environment that encourages active participation and involvement from teachers, mentors, student facing staff, and community members. Understand the unique needs of students and implement creative strategies to address those needs through Professional Development and research.

Education/Training

Degree: Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in a teaching or management position.
