This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President of Sales Operations based in United States.
This remote executive role will build and lead the operating system that enables a high-performing, scalable sales organization. You will establish the processes, governance, tools, cadences, and insights needed to improve forecast reliability, pipeline discipline, and seller productivity. The position offers significant influence across sales strategy, planning, technology, analytics, and business operations. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and other business leaders to align resources with growth priorities. As a key executive partner, you will translate complex commercial data into clear recommendations that drive accountability and decision-making. This is an opportunity to build a modern Sales Operations function within a fast-growing, acquisitive, technology-enabled organization.
Accountabilities:- Build and lead the enterprise Sales Operations function and business management system, establishing governance, standards, processes, and operating rhythms that support a high-performing sales culture.
- Run consistent weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales cadences, including forecast calls, pipeline reviews, account reviews, opportunity inspections, and business reviews.
- Own Salesforce forecasting governance and methodology, improving forecast accuracy, consistency, visibility, and executive confidence in business rollups.
- Establish and enforce pipeline management standards covering sales-stage discipline, pipeline coverage, aging, conversion, push-outs, opportunity progression, and CRM hygiene.
- Lead account and territory planning and sales coverage analysis in partnership with Sales leadership, ensuring resources are aligned with market opportunity and growth priorities.
- Provide performance analytics and planning inputs for sales compensation, quotas, capacity, productivity, and headcount in collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Human Resources.
- Develop executive dashboards covering pipeline coverage, conversion, win rates, sales cycle, attainment, productivity, forecast accuracy, and other critical performance indicators.
- Translate sales strategy into scalable processes, playbooks, tools, and enablement programs that improve seller effectiveness, productivity, and accountability.
- Govern CRM data quality and help integrate legacy sales processes, systems, and reporting into a consistent enterprise sales infrastructure and single source of truth.
- Support annual and in-year sales planning through detailed analysis of headcount, capacity, coverage, productivity, and performance.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, go-to-market, pursuit and proposal teams, Finance, and business leaders while maintaining clear functional ownership of pricing, margin, revenue recognition, and deal-desk activities within Finance.
- Lead adoption of new sales processes, tools, reporting capabilities, and operating cadences while balancing operational rigor with simplicity, speed, and usability.
- Drive integration across CRM, ERP, planning, forecasting, compensation, analytics, and workflow platforms to create a scalable operating architecture across business units.
- Leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve forecasting insights, pipeline risk identification, CRM productivity, data synthesis, decision-making, and process efficiency using responsible technology practices.
- Present sales performance, forecast, pipeline, productivity, and operational insights to executive leadership, translating data into clear recommendations, priorities, and actions.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Business Operations, or a related function, preferably within B2B technology or professional services.
- Proven experience building, scaling, or transforming Sales Operations within a fast-growing, multi-business, or acquisitive organization.
- Deep expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, CRM governance, operating cadences, account and territory planning, and sales productivity, with strong Salesforce experience required.
- Experience supporting sales compensation, quota setting, capacity planning, coverage models, and annual planning in partnership with Sales leadership and Finance.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including advanced Excel capabilities and experience with business intelligence and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated experience integrating CRM, ERP, planning, forecasting, compensation, analytics, and workflow technologies to create scalable operating infrastructure and reliable business data.
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Anaplan, Xactly or CaptivateIQ, Tableau or Power BI, NetSuite, Snowflake, and AI or automation technologies is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-powered tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve workflows, analysis, decision-making, and organizational productivity.
- Exceptional communication, project management, change leadership, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption across functions.
