Senior HR Business Partner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner based in Canada.

This role partners closely with Revenue leadership to execute people strategies that support business performance and a strong employee experience. You will advise senior leaders on organizational priorities, employee relations, engagement, retention, leadership development, and change management. Acting as a trusted consultant, coach, and change agent, you will translate business needs and people data into practical HR solutions. The position requires strong organizational agility and the ability to navigate complex situations while balancing employee and business needs. You will collaborate with HR subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful initiatives across the organization. This is a strategic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who can build trust with senior stakeholders while driving meaningful improvements to the employee experience.

Accountabilities:
  • Partner with VP-level leaders within the Revenue organization to execute HR strategies that support key business objectives and organizational performance.
  • Advise leaders on people-related matters and collaborate with HR subject-matter experts to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and deliver initiatives addressing employee retention, engagement, change management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Investigate and resolve complex employee relations matters, providing thoughtful guidance and support to both employees and managers.
  • Coach managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, workplace practices, and effective people management approaches.
  • Ensure HR practices remain aligned with applicable employment laws and regulations while staying informed about evolving requirements and best practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, managers, and employees, serving as a strategic partner across a broad range of people-related topics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HR initiatives that contribute to business results.
  • Lead programs designed to strengthen employee engagement, satisfaction, well-being, and overall employee experience.
  • Conduct employee surveys and analyze people data to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Use business context, data analysis, and organizational insight to guide leadership decision-making and develop dynamic people solutions.
  • Balance employee advocacy, leadership partnership, and change leadership when addressing complex organizational priorities.

Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in an HR Business Partner or comparable strategic HR role.
  • Strong experience developing and executing HR initiatives designed to improve organizational performance and employee outcomes.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, with demonstrated experience managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Strong coaching and consulting capabilities, with the ability to guide managers and senior leaders through people-related challenges.
  • Proven ability to build credibility, influence decisions, and establish trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Ability to use people data, employee feedback, and organizational insights to inform recommendations and leadership decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, fast-paced, and evolving organizational environments.
  • Strong change management and organizational agility skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple HR priorities.

  • Base salary of $100,000–$137,500 CAD.
