Job Description
To support statutory risk and compliance programs through regulatory change review, quality control, process analysis, and cross-functional coordination. To evaluate regulatory and program requirements, determine applicability to the organization, identifies trends, issues, and control or process gaps, and recommends improvements that strengthen compliance, reporting, risk monitoring, and operational effectiveness. Serve as a backup for coordinator responsibilities and supports program evaluation, documentation, and reporting across internal controls, enterprise risk management, business continuity, accreditation, contract and vendor management, AML/OFAC, artificial intelligence oversight, and other compliance activities.
Review regulatory changes, data calls, filing requirements, and other internal or external compliance requirements to determine applicability to the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies and coordinate appropriate follow-up with business units, risk owners, and program stakeholders.
Perform quality control reviews over assigned compliance, risk, and coordinator processes; identify trends, recurring issues, documentation gaps, and opportunities to improve accuracy, accountability, and consistency.
Analyze system, workflow, access, role/permission, and process gaps within governance, risk, and compliance tools and processes; recommend practical improvements to enhance user experience, reporting, monitoring, and program effectiveness.
Support the Anti-Money Laundering and OFAC programs by performing assigned reviews, monitoring activities, documentation, quality control, and escalation of identified issues; assist with final review and submission responsibilities as assigned.
Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, risk management, compliance, or similar field required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
Three to five years of relevant experience in a financial, insurance, risk, compliance, internal controls, audit, or regulatory environment required.
Experience analyzing regulatory requirements.
Experience coordinating information requests, surveys, filings, or program updates.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Preferred
Model Audit Rule, Sarbanes-Oxley, internal controls, enterprise risk management, contract and vendor management, business continuity, AML/OFAC, or insurance regulatory experience preferred.
Experience with property/casualty and life/annuity insurance products, operations, or regulatory requirements preferred.
Willingness to pursue continuing job-related training and education preferred.
