PBA Lead Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PBA Lead Designer based in United States.

The PBA Lead Designer will shape the visual presence of a major professional sports property across social, broadcast, and commercial channels.
This role combines graphic design, motion, storytelling, and brand development to create compelling creative for fans, partners, and audiences worldwide.
You will develop everything from social-first content and motion graphics to broadcast packages, event key art, and executive presentations.
The position offers significant creative ownership while working closely with marketing, social, production, and leadership stakeholders.
You will also collaborate with broader design teams to maintain consistency and strengthen the visual identity across multiple entertainment properties.
Success requires strong creative instincts, technical fluency, speed, and the ability to deliver polished work in a fast-moving live-event environment.
The role is remote, with preference for candidates based on the East Coast, and offers an opportunity to make a visible impact on a growing sports and media brand.

Accountabilities
  • Develop high-impact static and animated creative for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, and other digital platforms.
  • Create broadcast-ready graphics including lower thirds, transitions, wipes, stat boards, promotional assets, and other on-air elements.
  • Develop motion graphics packages supporting tournament weeks, championships, digital campaigns, and major brand initiatives.
  • Design premium sales decks, sponsorship presentations, executive materials, and other commercial-facing content.
  • Create key art and visual identity systems for major events, tournaments, and championship properties.
  • Establish scalable templates, repeatable design systems, and efficient creative workflows that support ongoing content production.
  • Maintain strong brand consistency across social, broadcast, commercial, and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, social, production, executive, and other cross-functional stakeholders to translate objectives into compelling visual solutions.
  • Partner with broader enterprise design teams on cross-property creative initiatives and ensure visual cohesion.
  • Support live-event workflows with rapid-turn creative execution while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
  • Help evolve the overall visual identity and creative standards across digital and broadcast experiences.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3–5 years of professional design experience, preferably within sports, broadcast, entertainment, media, or another fast-paced creative environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in social-first creative, motion graphics, broadcast design, and presentation materials.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Experience creating designs for both vertical and horizontal formats and adapting creative across multiple platforms.
  • Strong command of typography, composition, layout, visual hierarchy, and scalable design systems.
  • Ability to create polished static and animated assets while working within established brand guidelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with creative, marketing, production, social, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively under live-event and deadline-driven conditions.
  • Strong creative judgment, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving visual and communication challenges.
  • Experience in sports, media, or entertainment is preferred.
