Job Description

Senior Content Marketing Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to lead content strategy for a growing B2B SaaS organization and shape how its brand engages with customers and prospects. You will own the content marketing engine from strategic planning through production, distribution, and performance measurement. The role combines creative storytelling with analytical rigor, ensuring content contributes directly to awareness, engagement, pipeline, and revenue. You will collaborate closely with Growth, Product, Sales, Customer Success, People, and other teams to align content with broader business priorities. As a player-coach, you will guide internal and external contributors while maintaining a high standard of quality across channels and formats. You will also help strengthen thought leadership and identify innovative ways to scale content impact in a competitive market.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and lead a content strategy that engages target audiences, strengthens brand differentiation, and delivers measurable business results.
  • Own content planning, production, and execution across multiple formats, including short-form video, case studies, webinars, social content, original research, and larger strategic campaigns.
  • Lead foundational content initiatives and translate business objectives into compelling stories, topics, creative concepts, and distribution strategies.
  • Partner with Growth, Product, Sales, Customer Success, People, and other cross-functional teams to ensure content supports broader marketing and company goals.
  • Provide strategic direction to internal and external creative partners, agencies, freelancers, and industry collaborators while maintaining consistent quality and brand standards.
  • Expand the organization’s thought-leadership presence by identifying high-value topics, formats, channels, and opportunities to reach target audiences.
  • Develop and execute integrated distribution strategies across paid and owned channels to maximize content reach, engagement, and impact.
  • Track and analyze content performance using metrics such as web traffic, conversions, pipeline contribution, and closed-won revenue, turning insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Manage complex, long-term content initiatives alongside a steady flow of shorter-term projects and requests, ensuring priorities, timelines, and deliverables remain on track.
  • Serve as a senior contributor and people leader within the content marketing function, providing coaching, direction, feedback, and mentorship to help elevate team performance and creative standards.
Requirements
  • 5–8+ years of experience developing and executing effective content marketing strategies, ideally within a B2B environment.
  • Strong experience with brand storytelling, content strategy, writing, copyediting, and creative production, supported by a strong portfolio across multiple channels and formats.
  • Solid understanding of how content influences the B2B SaaS buyer journey and contributes to broader marketing and business growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience defining content strategies, managing editorial roadmaps, and connecting content initiatives to measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to coach, teach, motivate, and provide clear direction to internal and external contributors.
  • Experience developing and distributing content through a variety of channels, with an understanding of how to optimize promotion for reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Strong hands-on execution skills, with the ability to create or oversee case studies, conference presentations, webinars, social content, research projects, and other content formats.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, including the ability to manage complex strategic initiatives, multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console to evaluate content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to connect content performance to broader commercial metrics, including pipeline generation and revenue impact.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills, combined with sound creative judgment and attention to detail.
  • A playful, creative mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for making content engaging, memorable, and enjoyable for its audience.
Benefits
  • Base salary range of CA$110,300–CA$147,000, with actual compensation determined by skills, experience, and level of mastery.
  • Eligibility for equity as part of the total rewards package.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexible working arrangements.
  • Flexible coworking options available in Toronto and Vancouver for eligible employees.
  • Professional mastery allowance to support ongoing learning, development, and skill building.
  • Health and wellness benefits designed to support physical and mental well-being from day one.
  • MacBook laptop and monthly phone and internet subsidy.
  • Work-from-home budget to help establish and maintain a productive home office.
  • Supportive remote-first culture with town halls, AMAs, quarterly celebrations, and opportunities for connection.
  • Employee Resource Groups that support learning, connection, and inclusion throughout the year.
  • Ongoing manager support through regular one-on-ones, feedback, and performance conversations.
  • Opportunities for career growth, creativity, experimentation, and meaningful business impact.
  • Commitment to an inclusive and equitable workplace with accommodations available throughout the recruitment process.
