Salary:
$18.00 to $22.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Hours / Schedule:
This is a non-exempt, full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
The Street Outreach Advocate under the direct supervision of the Street Outreach
Supervisor is responsible for engaging and providing services to
individuals experiencing homelessness in non-traditional settings away from
the P.A.T.H. Navigation Center and to encourage those individuals to explore
additional services offered by P.A.T.H. or other community partners. As a member of
the Street Outreach Team, the Street Outreach Advocate will participate in
weekly food distribution, garbage pickup and trash bag distribution, abandoned
and abated encampment cleanups, community cleanup events, and community fire
prevention and community hazard cleanups. This position reports directly to the
Street Outreach Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Support Navigation Center operations by providing remote engagement of
individuals experiencing homelessness and promoting Navigation Center
mainstream services and partner referrals.
Foster and maintain a positive working relationship with individuals
experiencing homelessness.
Work with local agency partners including law enforcement to facilitate the
cleanup of abandoned or abated encampments.
Participate in community cleanups including promoting community involvement
and documenting the aftereffects of the cleanup efforts.
Organize and maintain an Outreach food pantry suitable for distribution of
meal and hygiene items on a weekly basis keeping the Outreach Supervisor
apprised of needed items.
Prepare single-serve cold meals and sort them into containers for weekly
distribution.
Maintain inventory of required Street Outreach supplies and materials.
Participate in shower services and distribution of hygiene supplies.
Execute fire prevention services when needed.
Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills with a clear ability to provide
excellent customer service to all those in contact with the agency’s homeless
services.
Motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently.
Ability to solve problems.
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and HMIS.
Ability to work under pressure. Experience in crisis intervention and problem
solving with ability to diffuse the situation without heightening the conflict.
Willingness to complete First Aid / CPR training after hire.
Have or obtain extensive knowledge of community resources.
Cooperative, friendly, and helpful attitude with users, staff, and co-workers and
community members.
Ability to work with individuals with many and varied barriers, often with social
deficiencies.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess a valid California Driver’s License.
Willingness to complete First Aid/CPR Training within 30 days of hire.

perception, and ability to focus.
Post offer, pre-employment screening requires successful completion of a drug/
alcohol screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record report.
