Sales Manager - Manufacturing & Agriculture Equipment Finance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Manager - Manufacturing & Agriculture Equipment Finance based in United States.

This leadership role is responsible for driving sales growth across the manufacturing and agriculture equipment finance markets.
You will lead and develop a sales team focused on building new vendor and manufacturer relationships while expanding existing partnerships.
The position combines people leadership, strategic sales management, relationship development, and hands-on equipment finance expertise.
You will help shape sales goals, funding strategies, customized financing programs, and long-term customer and referral relationships.
The role offers significant interaction with vendors, manufacturers, dealers, prospects, internal teams, and industry partners.
Success requires a commercially minded leader who can coach teams, identify opportunities, negotiate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
This is a remote, connected-work environment with light travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, plan, organize, and direct the activities of the sales team to achieve departmental and organizational sales objectives.
  • Establish and monitor monthly and annual sales, funding, and approval goals in collaboration with leadership.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively, prioritize workloads, and ensure team activities remain aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members, strengthening sales capabilities, performance against key metrics, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment vendors, manufacturers, dealers, referral sources, prospects, and customers through networking, referrals, phone, email, and occasional site visits.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening existing relationships to generate sustainable sales production.
  • Promote customized financing and payment structures, including buy-downs, subsidies, and delayed-payment programs, to meet customer and vendor needs.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations introducing financing services and programs, and represent the business at relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Oversee the setup and administration of new lease and sales contracts, including application entry, legal documentation, and coordination with internal teams to support timely closings.
  • Supervise customer transactions and portfolio activities, including risk assessments, collections, payment calculations, and other equipment finance responsibilities.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant sales and finance technologies, including Salesforce, T-Value, and Aspire, while ensuring accurate activity documentation and pipeline tracking.
  • Identify customer needs and support cross-selling of additional financial products and services, while coaching team members to identify similar opportunities.
  • Negotiate and communicate credit decisions, financing terms, and payment structures effectively with vendors and customers.
  • Stay current on equipment financing and leasing trends, industry developments, regulatory requirements, and emerging growth opportunities.
  • Represent the organization and its products professionally while maintaining appropriate legal, regulatory, security, and loss-prevention standards.
  • Collaborate across departments, participate in organizational meetings, provide backup support when needed, and complete additional assignments and professional development activities.
  • Travel occasionally as required, including limited overnight travel.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of sales management experience in equipment finance, with demonstrated success managing and developing sales teams and programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of equipment financing and leasing, including sales processes, vendor relationships, payment structures, and portfolio considerations.
  • Proven ability to develop new business relationships and maintain productive partnerships with vendors, manufacturers, dealers, referral sources, and customers.
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, delegation, performance management, and team development.
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to establish sales goals, manage competing priorities, and use effective planning and time-management practices to deliver results.
  • Strong digital literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools such as T-Value, Aspire, or comparable equipment finance and sales platforms is advantageous.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, manage risk, and work within legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate confidently with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional fluency and literacy in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and remain productive during extended periods of computer-based work.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and perform the physical activities associated with a primarily desk-based role.
  • Willingness to undertake light business travel, including occasional overnight stays.

  • $85,000–$150,000 annual salary, with final compensation based on relevant qualifications and experience.
