Position Overview

Avenia Behavioral Management is seeking a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at a behavioral health facility in Atlanta, Georgia.

The PMHNP will work with both children and adults, providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care and medication management. The ideal candidate is comfortable treating a range of behavioral health conditions and is able to work independently while maintaining thorough clinical documentation.

Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for children and adults
Provide psychiatric medication management based on each patient's clinical needs
Assess and monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects
Develop and maintain appropriate treatment plans
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Coordinate care with facility staff and other members of the treatment team as needed
Maintain professional standards of care and compliance with applicable requirements
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

The provider will primarily work with children and adults presenting with behavioral health conditions such as:

ADHD
OCD
Bipolar Disorder
Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD)
Other common psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
Systems Used
EMR: E-Case
E-Prescribing: Dr. First
Schedule

This position offers a consistent part-time schedule of two 4-hour clinic days per month, with one required Saturday clinic from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Qualifications
Current PMHNP certification and active licensure
Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Experience working with children and adults preferred
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Ability to provide onsite services in Atlanta, GA
Comfortable working with electronic medical records and e-prescribing platforms
