The Pre-Registration Team Member is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

To verify patient’s insurance benefits for requested services for all 3rd party payers and communicate this information to the appropriate NRHN departments. Pre-register the patient’s demographic and financial information into the hospital computer system. Maintains daily, weekly and monthly reports. Supports the other functions of the Registration Department, including but not limited to, reception, scheduling and registration. Ensures that all potential and existing patients are dealt with in a caring and empathetic fashion while protecting the medical, financial and legal interests of the hospital.

Qualifications

• High School graduate
• Previous Insurance background required
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
