AV Design Engineer in Sterling, Virginia at Bridges System Integration

We're seeking a detail-oriented, experienced AV Design Engineer to join our team, supporting the planning, design, and implementation of advanced audiovisual systems. This role covers projects end to end, from initial planning through installation and testing, delivering high-quality outcomes that meet client specifications and project goals.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze contractual requirements, customer specifications, design changes, and other project data to plan and develop program activities across the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate and perform design, testing, and installation of AV equipment and systems in field installations.

• Conduct performance tests to evaluate system functionality and confirm compliance with project requirements.

• Prepare detailed AV engineering packages, including specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for clients.

• Plan and coordinate work activities to keep project execution on schedule and efficient.

• Use CAD software and other engineering design tools to perform design tasks accurately.

• Provide technical guidance to resolve problems, optimize system performance, and meet project financial objectives.

• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and testing complex audiovisual systems

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent specialized AV technical training and experience

• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential
