Job Description
Position Summary:
The Bilingual Outreach Representative will be responsible for implementation of Access Health Louisiana's Outreach Program to the Latino Community in order to expand individual and community health awareness. This part-time position is responsible for connecting families with services throughout Access Health Louisiana’s Network, coordinating educational events on public health awareness, and basic health screenings. The individual will be trained on patient registration and electronic health record usage. The bilingual outreach representative must know how to use Excel spreadsheets to enter data and social media marketing experience is a plus. Parking in a covered garage within the Consulate building is provided. Participation in an annual conference for the Ventanilla de Salud program in the U.S. for training is required and approved expenses are covered. This position also involves minimal travel with the Mexican Consulate’s Mobile Health program. This position reports to Access Health Louisiana’s EVP of Strategy and Growth.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Experience
1. Previous experience as a healthcare professional preferred.
2. Previous Marketing, social media, community healthcare worker, outreach, or public relations experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Fluent in both English and Spanish speaking and writing
2. Ability to present to groups in both English and Spanish on Health topics and conduct simple Health screenings in a health and wellness setting.
3. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
4. Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
5. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with Providers, Management, and support staff.
7. High level of ethics in maintaining both corporate information and employee information confidentiality.
8. Requires the ability to interact with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, assignments, or directions, and must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with persons performing under stress.
