Job Description
TheUniversity of New Mexico-Valencia is accepting applicants for the position of Sr Fiscal Services Tech to join our Business Operations Department. This position is responsible for purchasingfor multiple departments, establishing/maintaining departmental budgets andmonitoring expenditures, preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts,ensuring compliance with policies, grants, and State and Federal regulations, maintainingdepartmental inventory records and coordinating physical inventory, andmanaging employee access to facilities by processing key card requests. Thisposition also serves as backup for timekeeping, processing adjustments, preparingfinancial reports and other accounting related duties and may supervise and/orlead lower graded staff and/or student employees.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, theUniversity of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of theUniversity of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the regionand is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teachingexcellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, career andtechnical programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/Collegecourses to Valencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staff serve a studentbody of over 2,000 students per semester.

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Five or more years of fiscal or administrative experience in a higher education environment
- Five or more years of managing and monitoring multiple fund sources in a higher education environment
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with experience maintaining complex financial spreadsheets
- At least one year of experience with Avigilon access control systems or similar platform
- Demonstrated experience cashiering, cashhandling, or related financial operations
