White Rabbit features an approachable offering of beer, wine, spirits, table service, and premium champagnes, along with small plates and snacks in the early evening hours, then transforms into an entertainment space in the later hours and weekends.

Originally named "The Matrix" by Jefferson Airplane in 1965, White Rabbit has a storied history as a pivotal venue in the formative years of the San Francisco rock music scene. Along with showcasing countless rock bands, the venue hosted renowned artists, such as The Grateful Dead, The Doors, Santana, Bob Marley, and more. In 2000, PlumpJack Group assumed operations of the business, and in 2018, the establishment was reimagined as White Rabbit - a neighborhood cocktail bar that seamlessly transforms into a popular DJ music venue on the weekends, all while retaining a welcoming living room atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

To lead the security team on a nightly basis
To assist management in scheduling needs for the security department
To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to White Rabbit management, when necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction.
To extend a courteous, friendly, and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
To lead the team in preventing and quickly deescalating altercations, escorting or removing trespassers or guests in violation of property policies and protocol, and contacting law enforcement when needed.
To make management aware of all guest comments and complaints.
To monitor third-party security personnel’s attendance and make management aware of any variances from our schedule requests.
To assist management in monitoring music volume levels, and ensuring the front door is always closed during DJ and live music sets.
To ensure all necessary equipment is kept clean and accounted for
To work with other departments to ensure good communication.
Represent and market the PlumpJack Group in a positive and professional manner by consistently promoting its businesses both internally and externally, attending special events as requested, and building strong relationships on and off the property.
To promote and comply with all policies and procedures of the PlumpJack Group
To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.
To contact police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
To note safety hazards and takes appropriate remedial action.
Patrol bar property, noting any problem areas or unusual activity and communicating this to management.
To always maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas.
To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
To turn in any lost and found items immediately to Manager on Duty (MOD).
To adhere to all company policies as outlined in the PlumpJack Employee Handbook.
To report to work as scheduled and be prepared to start work.
To remain at work for the entire work shift, except for meal and rest periods or when required to leave on authorized PlumpJack business.

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

Must be familiar with California liquor laws.
Must have current California BSIS Guard Card & RBS training
Minimum 1 year experience in industry
Must have experience supervising other guards
Detail oriented, efficient, team player, trustworthy and reliable.
Safety-minded. High-quality standards for service and hospitality
Courteous, friendly, and professional manner. Diplomatic and calm.
Able to work productively with little supervision.
English fluency required.

Working Conditions:

Constantly moving between in and outdoor environment throughout shift. Indoors, works in clean, adequately lighted bar and offices. Exposed to weather conditions while cleaning the sidewalk and taking out trash. Work areas may be noisy and crowded. Bar floors are uneven and may be slippery from moisture and grease. Possible exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

REQUIRED HOURS:

**Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays***
