Experienced Caregiver – In-Home Care | Wiregrass Area in Dothan, Alabama at FirstLight Home Care of Dothan

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires broad daytime availability. Here's what that means:
- Available 7am–7pm (you won't always work 12 hours — but you must be available within this window)
- Every other weekend availability required
- Willingness to pick up shifts based on client needs

Please note: This position is not a fit for caregivers with limited or restricted availability. Caregivers with open schedules receive the most consistent hours and client assignments. If you can only work specific days or hours, this may not be the right role for you at this time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Companionship and emotional support
- Mobility assistance and fall prevention
- Medication reminders
- Light housekeeping related to client care
- Transportation as needed

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $12.00–$14.00 per hour
- Loyalty bonuses at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year

REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience (in-home care, assisted living, or similar)
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working with pets in the home
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate

THIS ROLE IS NOT A FIT IF YOU...
- Are looking for part-time or only a few days a week
- Have limited availability or can't work weekends
- Don't have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Have no prior caregiving experience
