Mid Automation Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid Automation Engineer based in Brazil.

This role sits at the intersection of automation engineering, systems integration, and intelligent process optimization within a global, high-transaction environment. You will design, build, and maintain RPA-driven solutions that streamline complex business operations across multiple systems and data sources. Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, you will help identify automation opportunities, translate requirements into scalable workflows, and ensure reliable end-to-end execution. The environment is agile, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, with strong exposure to enterprise systems, APIs, and modern automation tooling. You will also contribute to integrating emerging AI capabilities into automation workflows, enhancing efficiency and decision-making. This is a hands-on engineering role where your work directly improves operational performance across a global organization.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy RPA-based automation solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze business processes to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility, effort, and impact.
  • Build and maintain scalable, well-structured, and maintainable automation workflows using RPA best practices.
  • Integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, web services, and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to document requirements, map processes, and define solution architecture.
  • Support end-to-end implementation including testing, UAT, deployment, and production monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live automation processes, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and test cases.
  • Work within agile delivery teams, contributing to sprint planning, delivery tracking, and risk identification.
  • Liaise with software vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvements.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of automation frameworks by incorporating AI-driven tools and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in RPA development using tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience working with APIs, web services, webhooks, and system integration workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and database systems for data handling and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with automation testing, debugging, and unit testing practices.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or similar project tracking systems.
  • Understanding of source control systems such as Git or Subversion.
  • Experience with AI-enabled automation tools (e.g., AI agents, OCR, NLP, or machine learning concepts) is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and related automation services is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
