This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer, Platform Experience based in Brazil.
This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, customer impact, and AI-driven systems, focusing on building and improving the core infrastructure that powers intelligent agent experiences used by major consumer brands. You will work on highly impactful, production-grade systems where reliability, observability, and performance directly affect real customer operations at scale. The environment is fast-moving, distributed, and deeply collaborative, with strong emphasis on ownership and end-to-end problem solving. You will engage with complex technical challenges spanning backend services, integrations, and agent behavior in production. A key part of the role is turning real-world incidents into durable system improvements, not just short-term fixes. This is a highly autonomous position where engineering judgment, curiosity, and product thinking directly shape platform evolution.
- Own and resolve complex production issues end to end, including debugging APIs, integrations, customer-side behavior, and backend services until root cause is identified and fixed.
- Investigate system behavior across logs, traces, SQL queries, and client-side signals to distinguish between product defects, configuration issues, or external causes.
- Design and implement durable fixes, including automation, tooling, and safeguards that prevent recurring incidents and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate directly with customers or internal stakeholders to reproduce issues, validate hypotheses, and accelerate resolution when needed.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to translate production signals into structured improvements and roadmap input.
- Contribute to platform quality by building runbooks, improving observability, and strengthening debugging and diagnostic capabilities.
- Continuously identify patterns across incidents and drive systemic improvements that reduce operational load over time.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in platform, backend, or customer-facing technical roles in production environments.
- Strong ability to debug distributed systems using logs, metrics, traces, and data analysis (SQL and similar tools).
- Experience working with backend technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, or similar modern stacks, with ability to ramp quickly if needed.
- Hands-on familiarity with APIs, integrations, web systems, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience working with AI/LLM systems, including prompts, retrieval workflows, or agent-based architectures, with ability to diagnose failure modes.
- Comfort interacting with customers or stakeholders to investigate issues and communicate technical concepts clearly in English.
- Strong ownership mindset, with ability to operate in ambiguous environments and drive problems to resolution independently.
- Experience using AI coding and productivity tools to accelerate debugging, analysis, and development work.
