Position Summary

The Metropolitan Club is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and execution-oriented Communications Manager to lead the club’s communications, content strategy, and marketing initiatives. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including Events, Food & Beverage, Membership, Wellness, and Hotel, this role supports a wide range of programs and marketing efforts to strengthen the club’s brand, drive member engagement, advance key business objectives, and enhance the overall member and guest experience.

The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive communicator with strong project management skills and a proven ability to transform ideas into compelling, high-performing content and campaigns. We are looking for a creative problem-solver who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, effectively manage multiple priorities, and build strong relationships across the organization to deliver meaningful results. The successful candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional member and guest experiences and thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage all member-facing communications, including weekly emails, announcements, digital content, and development of marketing collateral.

· Maintain and update the club website, mobile app, online events calendar, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and engaging.

· Design and produce promotional materials including event flyers, menus, brochures, and other marketing assets that align with brand standards.

· Manage the end-to-end production of the club’s monthly magazine publication including content development, editorial coordination, layout design, and final print production and distribution.

· Ensure brand consistency and quality standards by translating business-aligned objectives into compelling messaging and content across all member and guest touchpoints.

· Coordinate and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including content creation, copywriting, design oversight, scheduling, and performance reporting.

· Attend Club events to capture photography and video content for use across marketing, communications, and social media channels.

· Manage and maintain the Club's digital asset library, including photography, video, and branded materials.

· Partner with department leaders to develop and execute communications and marketing strategies that increase member participation, promote key programming, and club-wide initiatives.

· Maintain and optimize communication processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and ensure seamless delivery of communications.

· Work directly with Marketing & PR Committee to develop content strategy and manage ongoing social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

· Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, guests, and staff representing club brand and values.

· Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or related

· Experience in a private club, hospitality, or luxury service environments strongly preferred.

· Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

· High attention to detail with strong written, verbal, editorial, and proofreading skills.

· Strong project management, organizational, and time-management abilities.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office or similar tools.

· Experience with website content management systems, email marketing platforms and CRM software (e.g., Jonas, Hubspot, Mailchimp, or similar)

· Photography, videography, and content creation experience are highly desired.

· Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, special events, and select holidays as required.

They demonstrate strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills, effectively managing competing deadlines while delivering high-quality results across multiple initiatives. Proactive and collaborative, they anticipate needs, address challenges, and drive initiatives forward while ensuring alignment and shared success across departments.

Location: On-site at Metropolitan Club
