POSITION SUMMARY: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for actively driving full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, engaging, and hiring top talent to support organizational growth. This role leads the development and execution of recruiting strategies aligned with business goals and workforce needs. Under the supervision of the Human Resource Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in partnering with hiring managers, managing candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a results driven approach to talent acquisition.

Responsibilites:

1. Partner with hiring teams to build strategic recruitment plans that attract qualified, diverse talent aligned with company values and future needs.

2. Partners with business leaders to assess learning needs and deliver targeted solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

3. Oversee onboarding strategy to ensure new hires are effectively integrated, engaged, and equipped for success.

4. Collaborates with HR leadership to support talent reviews, succession planning, and performance management strategies.

5. Contributes to the design and implementation of career progression frameworks, leadership pipelines, and high-potential development initiatives.

6. Advises on role scoping, job descriptions, and candidate profiles to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational goals.

7. Represents AES at recruiting events, career fairs, and industry forums to strengthen talent pipelines and visibility.

8. Assists in oversight of junior recruiters if applicable.

9. Assists in monitoring compliance and signage with respect to labor law postings.

10. Handles special projects and all other duties assigned by Human Resource Manager or other managers.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or experience is preferred.

2. At least 5 years of progressive recruiting and administrative work experience; prior work experience within a HR department or the oil and gas industry would be highly advantageous.

3. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and substantial internet research skills.

4. Experience

5. Proficiency in utilizing HRIS and applicant tracking systems to manage candidate data, requisitions, and recruitment workflows.

6. Proven ability to design and implement development strategies across diverse employee populations.

7. Experience contributing to or leading recruitment strategies and talent planning initiatives.

8. Bilingual English / Spanish is highly preferred.

3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.

4. Ability to deal with sensitive information and keep all activities within the department confidential.

5. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills, with the ability to research issues.

6. Highly self-motivated and directed.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Assists in oversight of junior recruiters if applicable.
