Job Description

Job summary:

The Store Manager/Market Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the store team to meet and exceed all sales and operational goals and ensure all KPIs are achieved. This individual is fundamentally client and brand centric. As a passionate brand ambassador, the Store Manager is responsible for promoting L'AGENCE with clients, partners, and within the local city. This role acts as a key representative in the daily business operations of the store and supports all store initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Sales Performance

  • Be an ambassador for the brand and actively promote the culture of L'AGENCE internally and externally.
  • Drive financial success through a strong understanding of Retail KPIs and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Plan for and ensure achievement of floor coverage, financial targets, visual merchandising standards, client service, and operational functions for both the front and back of house.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Stores within network, Operations, Visual Team, CRM, Retail Training, HR, Merchandise teams, and regional management to maintain and accelerate the business forward.
  • Create and execute business plans to accelerate business growth and remedy opportunities.
  • Ensure the store atmosphere consistently upholds the sophisticated image of the brand.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment with teams and throughout the store network.

Client Relationship Management (CRM)

  • CRM: Ensure the acquisition and retention of clients are key focuses, creating and cultivating client relationships for the store and brand overall.
  • Ensure you and your teams deliver the best possible client experience with every type of engagement (in-store, virtual, alternate mediums) throughout the client journey.
  • Take a solution-oriented approach to finding resolutions to customer service issues.
  • Manage the Client Consignment business, ensuring a quick turnaround, strong take rate, and timely return of merchandise.

Marketing & Local Networking

  • In partnership with Store Teams and HQ, create and execute in-store activations/events focused on client acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Build a local network of tastemakers, stylists, marketing contacts, and business partners who will promote the brand and build client loyalty and retention

Team Management & Development

  • Manage and resolve conflict effectively in the workplace.
  • Attract and retain top talent for the retail store location.
  • Continually coach, motivate, train, and develop internal teams to achieve performance goals and set them up for success with growth opportunities within the organization.
  • Attend and lead store meetings as required by the business.
  • Ensure all processes are compliant with legal, safety, and internal procedures.

Operations & Inventory Management

  • Support and ensure accuracy of overall physical inventory, including regular Cycle Counts, inventory reconciliation, and adjustments, completed in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Initiate and ensure completion of merchandise receipts and transfer requests.
  • Protect all company assets, including cash handling, inventory, and expenses.
  • Take on additional projects/responsibilities as needed in accordance with the needs of the business.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial position.
  • Experience within women’s apparel retail preferred, ideally within Contemporary or Luxury segments.
  • Ability to effectively create, manage, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Familiar with key retail performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Adaptable, open-minded, active listener, and compassionate.
  • Advanced organizational skills, writing, and communication skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and POS software.
  • Comfortable and savvy with computer technology, including PC and iOS devices.
  • Must be a L’AGENCE brand ambassador, upholding dress code standards.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to reach overhead.
  • Must be able to pick up 30-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder or step stool.
