Aircraft Mechanic A&P – Mechanic 1 at CXO MX, Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport

We are looking for a motivated Aircraft Mechanic A&P to work at the Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport. Our focus is on maintaining general aviation piston aircraft to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Role Overview:In this entry-level role as an Airframe and Powerplant Technician, you’ll support a wide range of maintenance and inspection tasks while gaining valuable experience under the guidance of senior technicians. This is a great opportunity for newly licensed mechanics looking to grow in a professional GA environment.
Key Requirements:- General Aviation Familiarity: Basic understanding of piston aircraft systems and components
- Maintenance Fundamentals: Comfortable with basic procedures such as oil changes, spark plug servicing, and component removal
- Professional Attributes: Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
- Assist in performing 100-hour and annual inspections
- Remove, replace, and reinstall parts under supervision
- Perform oil changes, tire and brake servicing, and cleaning tasks
- Learn and assist with troubleshooting squawks and documenting discrepancies
- Help maintain shop cleanliness, tool organization, and safety compliance
- Practice accurate logbook and maintenance tracking entries (non-certifying)
- Participate in ongoing on-the-job training with senior mechanics
- Certified A&P Mechanic (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Experience with GA piston aircraft (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, etc.)
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and AD research
- Exposure to aviation maintenance software systems
