As a Workday Certified Benefits Consultant, you will support the successful delivery of Workday HCM implementations with a focus on benefits solutions. You will work closely with clients and project teams to understand requirements, configure solutions, support testing, and promote best practices throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Provide functional expertise in the Workday HCM product suite, with deep knowledge of U.S. Benefits.
- Lead or support Workday deployment activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and knowledge transfer.
- Analyze client business requirements and translate them into effective Workday configurations.
- Develop and demonstrate prototype solutions to showcase system capabilities and support client decision-making.
- Assist with testing Workday solutions and ensure successful implementation outcomes.
- Support data conversion activities by helping transform legacy data into Workday-compatible formats.
- Collaborate with integration teams to configure and test connections between Workday and third-party or custom systems.
- Ensure functional solutions support downstream data requirements and integration processes.
- Mentor consultants, share product expertise, and contribute to the development of team capabilities.
- Resolve complex functional challenges and provide guidance to project teams when additional support is required.
- Partner with clients to encourage adoption of Workday best practices and maximize platform value.
- Maintain strong client relationships by ensuring satisfaction throughout implementation and post-production phases.
- Provide project managers with regular status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations for improving project delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve deployment approaches, tools, and processes.
- Maintain required Workday certifications and professional qualifications.
- Apply analytical thinking to identify process improvements, simplify configurations, and develop scalable solutions.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Workday professional with strong benefits configuration expertise, consulting experience, and the ability to manage complex client engagements. You should combine technical understanding with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality HR technology solutions.
- Current Workday Partner Benefits Certification.
- 2–4+ years of Workday configuration and implementation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous consulting experience with a software or technology consulting organization.
- Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar HCM platforms.
- Strong functional understanding of human resources processes, particularly benefits administration.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, timelines, and client expectations.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies through training and independent research.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on client success.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against project goals.
- Experience supporting multiple HCM implementations simultaneously is a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% depending on project requirements.
