Sourcing Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sourcing Specialist based in Canada.

This role focuses on managing supplier relationships, contract processes, and sourcing activities within a dynamic, global environment.
The Sourcing Specialist will support procurement operations by ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate supplier data, and coordinating contract-related activities.
You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, legal partners, and risk stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and supplier governance.
The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across complex processes.
You will contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and risk management activities that directly support business objectives.

Accountabilities:

The Sourcing Specialist will support supplier lifecycle management, contract administration, sourcing activities, and compliance processes. This role requires effective coordination between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure accurate documentation, risk mitigation, and smooth procurement execution.

  • Manage supplier contracts, documentation, and relationship records to ensure compliance with organizational and client requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations, bid events, and sourcing initiatives by preparing documentation, requirements, and supporting materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to manage contract changes, renewals, transitions, and service provider updates.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and contract data within procurement platforms and data management systems.
  • Ensure supplier onboarding requirements and due diligence processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Administer supplier files, including contracts, certificates of insurance, amendments, letters, and related documentation.
  • Respond to questions regarding contract processes and provide operational support through procurement technology platforms.
  • Monitor compliance with sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, and governance standards.
  • Partner with legal and risk management teams to ensure contractual terms and updates meet required standards.
  • Track communications, approvals, authorizations, and documentation to maintain complete and audit-ready records.
  • Support risk management processes related to certificates of insurance, compliance platforms, and supplier documentation.
  • Act as a first point of contact for supplier compliance administration questions and coordinate resolution of exceptions.
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications, requirements, and bid documentation.
  • Evaluate bids, support negotiations, and contribute to determining acceptable supplier agreements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing, procurement operations, supplier management, and contract administration. Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential for managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring compliance throughout supplier processes.

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, contract administration, supplier management, or related operational functions.
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management processes and supplier relationship management practices.
  • Experience supporting contract negotiations, bid processes, and request for proposal (RFP) activities.
  • Strong ability to manage documentation, data accuracy, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with procurement systems, contract databases, or supplier management platforms.
  • Understanding of risk management processes, supplier onboarding requirements, and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with legal teams, suppliers, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and support process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
