Compensation: Exempt. Salary Range is $61,626 - $65,050 annually, based on experience, credentials and education.

Schedule: Flexible schedule availability is required; the typical schedule is Mon. – Fri. 8a – 4p with evening and weekend hours as needed. In instances of a federal, state or locally declared emergency or order, MANNA FoodBank is typically considered an essential service and emergency responder; all employees may be called upon to perform regular or emergent duties.
Travel: Moderate travel is required within the service area. Employees must provide proof of current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Position Summary: The Program Operations Manager will manage and supervise purchase planning, inventory management, order submission and distribution of Youth Programs and Community Markets programs. This position will play an active role in programmatic planning, program administration, fostering an inclusive market environment, engaging community partners and neighbors, and supporting the effective distribution of food into areas of need within WNC.
The Manager will manage and evaluate these programs in collaboration with the Youth Program Manager and the Community Market Manager and is accountable for operational program reporting and data collection. This role will oversee all aspects of program administration, operations, client experience and staff management.

Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Development and Management:
· Support MANNA’s regional goals with emphasis on strategic response and program integration through data, logistical organization, and event scheduling, Oversee all program management activities for the community food distribution programs, including but not limited to selection, training and support of mobile distribution sites and partners in the MANNA service area.
· Supervise the work of the community markets staff to ensure implementation of program work plans and goals through targeted training, mentoring, and modeling.
· Develop, oversee and report on all program management activities including quality, risk management, budget, expense, and procurement.
· Develop, oversee and report on operational program performance metrics, ensuring compliance with grant/funder requirements and MANNA’s strategic plan.
· In collaboration with Community Markets Manager, research, design, develop and implement strategies for the next phases of community food distribution program initiatives.
Operations, Team and General Management:
· Coordinate operations, logistics and delivery activities to effectively deliver community food distribution programs.
· Collaborate with Food Sourcing team to select and source culturally appropriate and other specific food items for mobile distributions
· Provide direction, training, supervision, and performance management of all direct reports.
· Develop and monitor department budget, data tracking and reporting, and maintain objectives, goals, and work plans for the team and MANNA.
· Assist the Resource Development Department in fundraising, grant and contract activities related to community food distribution programing and other initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Education/Experience: A range of education, training, certifications and experience will be considered for this position. This range could include but is not limited to:
· High School diploma or equivalent with specialized training and/or certification, and over five years of relevant work experience
· Associate degree and 2 years of relevant work experience
· Fields of experience can include, but are not limited to, warehouse management, program management, and procurement.
· Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others, including senior management and project partners
· Experience effectively adapting communication style to different audiences
· An analytical mindset and confidence working with data to draw conclusions and help drive business decisions
· Excellent research, problem-solving, and analytical skills, and sound business judgment
· Self-starter who is driven and comfortable with ambiguity and able to work independently in a dynamic environment
· Excellent time management, project management, multitasking, and organizational skills
· Professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible and well-organized
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
· Experience leading and training individuals and teams, and working with nonprofits as well as public and private organizations in diverse and rural settings
· Experience in meeting facilitation, program development and management.
· A commitment to MANNA programs focused on impacting hunger and health in WNC, in NC and throughout the country
Working Conditions: Work will be performed in a typical office environment as well as at warehouse sites with occasional exposure to a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc. The employee is occasionally required to work in outdoor conditions and extreme temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands required are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
The physical demands of this position are considered medium work. While performing job duties the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and move objects up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities require the visual acuity to operate motor vehicles; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
