Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
The Associate Director, Solutions serves as a strategic partner to the Vice President of Solutions and plays a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and optimization of business solutions that drive operational excellence, client satisfaction, and company growth.
This position combines business strategy, operational improvement, product management, financial awareness, technology enablement, and client solution development. The Assistant Director will collaborate across Operations, Sales, Technology, Product, Finance, and Client Services to design innovative solutions, improve processes, support client engagements, and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Solutions Leadership
• Support the Vice President of Solutions in executing the department's strategic vision and objectives.
• Assist in identifying new business opportunities, service offerings, and revenue-generating solutions.
• Participate in the development and execution of strategic initiatives that support company growth and client success.
• Conduct research and analysis of industry trends, market opportunities, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning.
Business Solutions & Client Engagement
• Assist in designing customized client solutions that align with business objectives, operational requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Participate in client discovery sessions, solution design workshops, and strategic planning meetings.
• Support proposal development, Statements of Work (SOWs), business cases, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams during pre-sales and prospect engagements.
• Help evaluate client requirements and develop innovative operational, technology, and staffing solutions.
Product & Service Development
• Support product management activities, including product enhancements, implementation planning, and lifecycle management.
• Assist in developing and maintaining service offerings and solution frameworks.
• Work with Operations, Product, and Technology teams to identify opportunities for service innovation and automation.
• Monitor solution performance and recommend enhancements based on client feedback and operational results.
Process Improvement & Transformation
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
• Lead or participate in business transformation initiatives.
• Support process mapping, workflow analysis, root cause analysis, and solution implementation efforts.
• Assist in developing scalable best practices, methodologies, and operational standards.
Technology & Innovation
• Partner with Technology and Product teams to evaluate emerging technologies, automation opportunities, AI capabilities, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Assist in identifying technology solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and client experience.
• Support implementation and adoption of new tools, systems, and platforms.
Leadership & Collaboration
• Serve as a trusted advisor and delegate for the Vice President of Solutions when appropriate.
• Build strong relationships across all functional departments.
• Lead project teams and cross-functional workgroups.
• Mentor and support team members participating in solution development and implementation projects.
• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Experience
Required
• 7+ years of progressive experience in business solutions, operations management, consulting, business transformation, product management, financial services, mortgage operations, or related fields.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
• Experience developing client-focused business solutions.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and external clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving experience.
Preferred
• Mortgage industry experience.
• Due diligence, underwriting, quality control, transaction management, or mortgage fulfillment experience.
• Experience supporting SaaS, technology-enabled services, or consulting organizations.
• Experience with AI, automation, workflow technologies, or digital transformation initiatives.
