LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is seeking a Time and Labor Administrator in Gainesville, FL, to oversee the organization's time management systems and ensure compliance with time and labor policies and regulations. This position plays a key role in supporting payroll processes, maintaining data integrity, analyzing trends, and partnering with leadership to drive effective time and labor management practices.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and manage the organization's time management system and monitor compliance with time and labor policies and regulations
- Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws and company policies and recommend process or configuration changes within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Monitor the integrity of time and labor systems, including issue resolution, system updates, configurations, and employee time records
- Audit PTO plans and accruals to ensure accurate assignments and balances
- Routinely audit timesheets, PTO requests, and schedules to ensure compliance with company policy
- Work closely with the Finance department to support timely and accurate payroll processing and conduct payroll audits
- Analyze time management policy compliance and report trends and findings to Human Resources and General Counsel
- Develop standard reports and metrics to assist managers with monitoring compliance of time management policies
- Collaborate on the development of policies, standard operating procedures, and training programs related to time management practices
- Partner with Accounting, Human Resources, and General Counsel on matters related to payroll administration, employee scheduling, compensation, and personnel matters
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and support of initiatives impacting employee compensation, timekeeping, and labor management
- Manage and coordinate projects as assigned
- Review contracts and agreements as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality of employee records
What We Need
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of professional-level human resources experience including some experience in time collection methodology and labor administration required
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); additional experience with specialty programs will be beneficial
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers, personnel and vendors
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, human resources, and labor
- Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
- Ability to create, analyze and publish metric reports for managers
- Ability to handle confidential employee relations issues
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and problem solve
- Ability to take initiative and assist in developing departmental policies, procedures, and projects
- Must possess flexibility with work assignments and be able to multi-task
- Must follow complex oral and written instructions
- Working knowledge of Paylocity system is highly preferred
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification desired

With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
