Production Lead in Concord, North Carolina at Safewaze

We are seeking a Production Lead to join our Production Team that plays a key role in overseeing daily manufacturing or production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves leading a team, coordinating workflows, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing processes to meet production goals. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Full time, first shift work. Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 6am-2:30pm

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Read and comprehend written instructions. Follow established procedures, and follow verbal instructions
• Work with Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and production efficiency
• Monitor production schedules and ensure dates are met
• Monitor production output against daily goals, identify and escalate bottlenecks or quality issues promptly
• Work alongside team members and/or fill in on production tasks as needed based on schedule or timelines
• Learn and understand quality objectives to incorpoate daily quality checks as needed.
• Able to use reason to solve problems as they arise
• Lead, mentor, and train team members

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in manufacturing (2 years preferred)
• Prior experience in lead, trainer, or informal supervisory capacity (leading a team of at least 10 at one time)
• Strong delegation skills with the ability to assign work effectively across a large team and follow through on outcomes.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality
• Clear, direct communicator, able to convey expectations, give feedback and coordinate across operators and departments.
• Adaptable under pressure; able to reprioritize and keep the team focused when conditions change.
• Ability to work in a repetitive job where standing and/or sitting or long periods of time is required
• Demonstrates reliability and strong personal work ethic; leads by example
