Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing social emotional learning and trauma-informed, culturally responsive youth engagement. The Program Coordinator will be planning and facilitating social emotional learning curriculum to meet youth needs, consulting with other departments as they embed social-emotional practices; make mental health referrals; and using data to set goals and outcomes. Grant-funded position; continuation of employment is contingent upon renewal.

Responsibilities

· Design, implement and evaluate Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons and activities to achieve specific goals and outcome measurements across the agency

· Coordinate and support student SEL initiatives, including community circles, peer mentoring, and wellness-focused events.

· Collect participant feedback and analyze data to evaluate training effectiveness and inform future programming needs.

· Assist with budgeting, ordering, and distributing SEL materials and resources.

· Meet weekly with Club staff to provide updates, discuss student progress, and recommend academic programming adjustments.

· Travel between multiple sites to ensure consistent implementation and quality of SEL activities.

· Recruit youth participants for SEL programming and events

· Contribute to the development and planning of SEL programming.

· Participate and assist with training and development for club staff and volunteers

· Attends required meetings and trainings by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools, and/or funders.

· Assists with other SEL Coordinator duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

· High diploma required

· Some college preferred in Education, Leadership, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field

Experience Requirements:

· At least 1 year of experience in program implementation.

· Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Skills:

· Experience working with youth ages 4-18 years old

· Experience working with a diverse populations representative of our Club membership.

· Strong interpersonal relationship-building skills

· Program development and small group implementation, both in-person and virtually

· Highly organized with attention to detail

· Good communication skills, both oral and written, in English. Spanish is a plus.

· Must have a valid WI driver’s license, good driving record, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums.

This is a part-time role. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
