We are looking for an educator who understands the importance of nurturing children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development during their preschool years.
Our Preschool 3 Teachers utilize the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage exploration, creativity, independence, and school readiness. The ideal candidate will foster a structured and nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- No weekends

The Preschool 3 Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a developmentally appropriate learning environment for three-year-old children. This position includes implementing the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum, creating monthly lesson plans through the Learning Beyond Paper portal, conducting developmental assessments, and supporting children as they develop language, social-emotional, cognitive, and self-help skills.
The Preschool 3 Teacher will establish a positive classroom culture that promotes learning through exploration, hands-on experiences, purposeful play, and structured routines.
Essential ResponsibilitiesCurriculum & Instruction- Implement the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum with fidelity and enthusiasm.
- Develop and submit monthly lesson plans utilizing resources available through the Learning Beyond Paper portal.
- Create engaging learning experiences that support all developmental domains.
- Introduce age-appropriate concepts in literacy, language, math, science, social studies, art, and social-emotional development.
- Plan and facilitate large group, small group, and individual learning activities.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, independence, and problem-solving skills.
- Create meaningful learning opportunities through purposeful play and exploration.
- Conduct ongoing developmental observations and assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress and milestones.
- Complete required assessment documentation and portfolios.
- Utilize assessment data to individualize instruction and support children's growth.
- Maintain a structured, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Establish consistent routines and age-appropriate expectations.
- Promote positive behavior through encouragement, redirection, and developmentally appropriate guidance techniques.
- Ensure classroom materials, learning centers, and displays are engaging and well-maintained.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships and a sense of belonging among children.
- Support the development of self-help, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Encourage emotional regulation, cooperation, and positive peer interactions.
- Help children build confidence and independence.
- Build positive relationships with families and caregivers.
- Communicate regularly regarding children's progress, classroom activities, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in parent conferences and family engagement events.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean classroom environment.
- Complete attendance records, incident reports, and required documentation accurately and timely.
- Ensure proper supervision during classroom activities, meals, playground time, and transitions.
- Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Assist with center events, family activities, and special programs.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Little Scholars Learning Center.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Ability to pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience creating lesson plans and implementing curriculum.
- Experience conducting developmental assessments.
- Experience using Learning Beyond Paper curriculum or similar early childhood curriculum programs.
