ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Performs all the essential job functions of a Superintendent.
  2. Field manage deep foundation, ground improvement, and shoring work
  3. Manage equipment logistics and drilling sequencing
  4. Duties will include setting drill up in the beginning of the job and taking it apart at the end of the job.
  5. Performing morning PTP discussions
  6. Managing personnel onsite
  7. Ensure that all work is being performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  8. Managing daily production schedule
  9. capable of reading blueprints
  10. Communicate with and teach proper work processes to field crew.
  11. Record daily production schedule and drill logs (clear and legible )
  12. Record important data and relay to the PM.
  13. Arrive at the project site on time.
  14. Work with materials such as wood, concrete, grout, steel etc.
  15. Work with hoses (air, grout, water, etc.) for all types of jobs on the jobsite.
  16. Ensuring that pile elevations are set to what are required by the plans
  17. Proficient in set up of laser and being able to figure out elevations.
  18. Conducts safety checks before starting up and operating (and after shutting down) heavy equipment pieces using standard checklists.
  19. Reviews site specifications with PM
  20. Operates all light equipment necessary (e.g., concrete, grout vibrator, grout plant/concrete pump, compacting equipment, basic hand tools etc.) for operations.
  21. Operates selected pieces of heavy equipment to include, but not limited to, the following pieces of equipment:
  22. Lull (required)
  23. Drill Rig (desirable)
  24. Certified Crane operator (desirable)
  25. Hooks up necessary attachments to equipment to complete geo structural and civil task(s).
  26. Conducts routine preventative maintenance necessary to keep equipment operating effectively and efficiently.
  27. Makes minor repairs as necessary to keep equipment safe and operational.
  28. Complies with all applicable state, company and OSHA rules, regulations, and guidelines necessary for safe operation of heavy equipment at the job site.
  29. Reports any job site and/or WBI employee safety violation(s) to appropriate supervisory personnel.
  30. Serves as a safe and productive member of a geotechnical crew/team.
  31. Assists operators and crew in installing ground improvements, piles, etc.
  32. Assists operators and crew to move dirt on/off site as needed.
  33. Assists operators, apprentices, and crew in properly draining water during grading operations.
  34. Observe and help to remove all hazards in a task.
  35. Knowledge of drilling tooling, including but not limited to (augers, leads, cessions, power packs, rotary head, grout pump)
  36. Familiar with ICE (International Construction Equipment) drilling equipment
  37. Familiar with cranes of all types
  38. Familiar with drill rigs such as (Comacchio, CZM, Watson, Casagrande, TEI Rock drills, Klemm, Bauer, etc..)

Education and/or Experience

  1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management - desirable
  2. Vocational or technical training/experience in grading/site development - desirable
  3. OSHA - 10 Hour Certification – required.
  4. OSHA - 30 Hour Certification – required.
  5. First Aid/CPR – required.
  6. Valid driver’s license – required.
  7. On time and with a good attitude
  8. Willing to help in any way.
  9. Willing to stop work when they don’t understand or feel unsafe.
  10. Equipment inspection of all types of equipment as well as proper start up and shut down
