The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for treating each patient with courtesy, providing an excellent patient experience, and functioning as a positive ambassador for the Upson Healthcare System. This role obtains relevant and complete health and medical history, and performs the appropriate physician examination. From this, the PA/NP develops and carries out appropriate patient management plans. The PA/NP must demonstrate critical thinking skills, exercise clinical judgment in the diagnostic process, and manage medical and surgical conditions.

Requirements: Current GA licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, degree relevant to position, and BLS certification. Must have Ortho experience in a clinic setting and experience with ortho surgical procedures. Prefer three or more years working in a clinic or hospital setting as a PA/NP.
