Feed Truck Driver at Central United Cooperative – Gibbon, Minnesota

POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary function of this position is to ensure the safe loading, transport, and complete delivery of feed products to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily vehicle inspection prior to start of delivery schedule
• Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of bulk feed products
• Schedule vehicle maintenance and washes
• Safely clean trailer compartments to mitigate possibilities of contamination
• Ensure quality product and report any inconsistencies or concerns
• Maintain Class A or B driver’s license
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations
• Use caution on/around customer’s property and facilities
• Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have or be able to obtain Class A CDL or, at minimum, a Class B and be an insurable driver
• Must be able to pass DOT required physical and related drug test
• Ability to safely operate forklift, handcart, semi and feed trailer equipment
• Availability to work extended hours at times
• Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
• Agriculture background preferred, but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, push or pull 1-20 pounds frequently and up to 55 lbs. occasionally; climb ladders and/or rail cars, stairs, and bins
• Frequent periods of standing, walking, sitting, lifting and carrying items
• May also be required to work in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in grain dust and during inclement weather
• Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
