Non-CDL Driver in Willmar, Minnesota at Headstart Hatching

Headstart Hatching is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Non-CDL Driver to join our team. The Non-CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, materials, equipment, or passengers while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with company policies and traffic regulations. This position requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Transport and deliver products, supplies, equipment, or passengers to designated locations.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, customers, and team members.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Assist with warehouse, inventory, or other operational tasks when not driving, as needed.
• Wash and clean trucks and trailers on a regular schedule.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use cleaning equipment and supplies.

Qualifications
Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass background check, MVR requirements
• Minimum age of 21 years (or as required by company insurance).
• Ability to safely operate vans, pickup trucks, box trucks, or other non-CDL vehicles.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

• Previous driving, delivery, transportation, or customer service experience.
• Experience using GPS navigation, routing systems, or mobile technology.
• Knowledge of local roads and service areas.
• Experience with live animals, egg handle or feed transport preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to follow strict biosecurity procedures.
