Job Description
Salary: $19.00/hr
Job Summary:
To assist in maintaining facilities by providing effective and efficient cleaning and custodial support services. Follow routine cleaning procedures as set by the Custodial/Janitorial services department to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building and grounds operations.

Job Summary:
To assist in maintaining facilities by providing effective and efficient cleaning and custodial support services. Follow routine cleaning procedures as set by the Custodial/Janitorial services department to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building and grounds operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow the directed cleaning schedule, as provided by the Lead Custodian, including but not limited to general cleaning and/or dusting of all walls, whiteboards, glass, furniture, equipment, and restrooms; disinfecting of all hand touch surfaces; vacuuming/cleaning of floors and carpeting
- Keep building and grounds, including entryways, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots neat, clean, and free of trash and debris
- Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed from Lead
- Advise building management when building requires a work order for a specific area or location
- Perform daily cleaning on all custodial equipment. Operate all equipment according to established safety procedures
- Comply with the Texas Hazardous Communications Act which includes emphasizing safety, storing, handling, labeling, and application of all chemicals
- Wear appropriate issued ID badge to work daily
- Regular attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
- Maintain good public relations and communications with coworkers, and building patrons
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience
- Demonstrated competence for assigned responsibilities and equipment operations
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check/drug screen
- Ability to push, pull, move, lift, carry and transfer items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire 8-hour shift
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all climates and conditions
- Exhibit generous community spirit, professional flexibility, a sense of humor, and a positive attitude
- Execute duties in a positive and punctual manner
