Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting
- 1 year of leadership experience
- Strong and effective leadership skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
- Critical Care experience or Emergency Room experience
- Skilled in computer systems and data analysis
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift
- Full Time
Essential Functions:
- Manage patient throughput by prioritizing internal and external requests for admission and transfers using clinical assessment and approved criteria for level of care orders and bed assignments.
- This process involves collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other disciplines.
- Conducts rounds to assess the day-to-day operations on the units, communicating the needs of critical areas such as the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Cath Lab while also gathering information on discharges and barriers.
- Utilize data analytics to evaluate and improve patient throughput and satisfaction that align with departmental and organizational goals.
- Oversees and coordinates the activities of the Logistics Command Center to ensure timely and efficient bed placement.
- Facilitates daily interdisciplinary logistics huddles to ensure the optimization and implementation of capacity management strategies.
- Operates with a high degree of autonomy while utilizing and applying the core values of the health system.
