Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting
• 1 year of leadership experience
• Strong and effective leadership skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• Critical Care experience or Emergency Room experience
• Skilled in computer systems and data analysis

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift
• Full Time

Essential Functions:

• Manage patient throughput by prioritizing internal and external requests for admission and transfers using clinical assessment and approved criteria for level of care orders and bed assignments.
• This process involves collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other disciplines.
• Conducts rounds to assess the day-to-day operations on the units, communicating the needs of critical areas such as the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Cath Lab while also gathering information on discharges and barriers.
• Utilize data analytics to evaluate and improve patient throughput and satisfaction that align with departmental and organizational goals.
• Oversees and coordinates the activities of the Logistics Command Center to ensure timely and efficient bed placement.
• Facilitates daily interdisciplinary logistics huddles to ensure the optimization and implementation of capacity management strategies.
• Operates with a high degree of autonomy while utilizing and applying the core values of the health system.
