Our Managers of Speech Therapy and Audiology play an essential role in providing clinical leadership, supporting staff development, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Speech Therapy and Audiology services. Working collaboratively with physicians, clinical and administrative teams, patients, families, and multidisciplinary partners, our Managers help ensure that services are delivered efficiently, consistently, and with a strong focus on patient experience, quality, and clinical excellence. Through staff leadership, clinical oversight, operational improvement, quality management, regulatory compliance, resource management, and service development, our Managers help advance the delivery of high-quality Speech Therapy, Audiology, and vestibular services. As a Manager of Speech Therapy and Audiology, a typical day might include the following:
• Managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the Speech Therapy and Audiology divisions, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality clinical services, and an exceptional patient experience.
• Providing clinical and administrative leadership to Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists while supporting a collaborative, patient-centered team environment.
• Providing Audiology and vestibular services as appropriate within the scope of licensure and coordinating care with physicians and multidisciplinary teams as indicated.
• Supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of departmental policies, procedures, programs, services, and operational initiatives.
• Implementing departmental goals, plans, objectives, and budgets for Speech Therapy, Audiology, and the Speech & Hearing Center.
• Leading and supporting staff through scheduling, staffing, performance management, performance evaluations, orientation, competencies, professional development, recognition, and ongoing feedback.
• Supporting the recruitment, interviewing, selection, hiring, onboarding, development, retention, and disciplinary activities of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Reviewing individual staff performance evaluations in accordance with applicable organizational policies, procedures, and standards and providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Establishing appropriate staffing levels and flexing resources to meet patient volume and operational demands while maintaining budgetary goals and high standards of service.
• Effectively allocating labor and non-labor resources to maximize efficiency, productivity, quality, and patient care.
• Monitoring departmental financial performance and adhering to established budgetary guidelines and targets, including proactively identifying and addressing budget variances.
• Supervising billing processes and procedures to support accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and effective revenue cycle performance.
• Maintaining departmental compliance with applicable organizational policies, laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive, ongoing quality assessment and improvement plan for the Speech Therapy and Audiology divisions.
• Applying principles of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) to evaluate clinical and operational processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions.
• Using staff, patient, physician, and other stakeholder feedback to improve processes, services, quality, productivity, and the overall patient experience.
• Monitoring departmental performance and identifying opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and service delivery.
• Collaborating with physicians, clinical teams, administrative staff, and multidisciplinary partners to ensure effective coordination of patient care and services.
• Maintaining strong and professional relationships with patients, employees, physicians, visitors, families, and other customers while maintaining a high level of visibility and accessibility.
• Following through on patient, physician, employee, and customer requests, concerns, and inquiries in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Promoting strategies that provide a high level of patient, physician, and employee satisfaction and support a culture of service excellence.
• Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, streamline processes, enhance productivity, and introduce new ideas that strengthen Speech Therapy and Audiology services.
• Organizing and managing multiple assignments, projects, and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on departmental goals and patient care.
• Supporting employee retention through effective selection and interviewing, recognition, professional development, fair and timely performance management, and ongoing communication.
• Interacting constructively, tactfully, and diplomatically with staff and colleagues and resolving conflicts effectively.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
• Education: Master’s degree in Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field appropriate to the position.
• Licensure/Certification: Current New Jersey state license applicable to the discipline and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), as applicable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology and 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Clinical Experience: Experience providing or overseeing Audiology and/or vestibular services preferred.
• Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience supervising clinical staff and managing departmental operations, staffing, resources, and performance.
• Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, budgeting, billing, and patient-centered service.
• Schedule Requirements: Ability to work a full-time, 35-hour per week schedule based on departmental, patient care, operational, and organizational needs.
