Maintenance Technician I at GENERATIONS ADVENTUREPLEX LLC – Mishawaka, Indiana

The Maintenance Technician at Generations AdventurePlex is responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of all equipment, grounds, and facilities. This role involves preventive maintenance on food and beverage equipment, bowling and arcade games, and various rides and attractions. The position requires a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. The Maintenance Technician will also handle grounds maintenance, including landscaping and winterization.

• Perform preventive maintenance on food and beverage equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair bowling lanes, arcade games, and other attractions to keep them in top condition.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on rides and attractions, adhering to manufacturer protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain the property grounds, including landscaping, mowing, trimming, and handling seasonal tasks like winterization.
• Follow detailed maintenance manuals and company protocols to address issues efficiently and accurately.
• Handle basic plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and maintaining water lines.
• Complete painting projects as required to maintain the appearance and upkeep of the facility.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records, tracking repairs, inspections, and any required updates.
• Communicate clearly with the management team regarding maintenance needs, timelines, and potential safety concerns.
• Ensure all work areas are clean and safe, adhering to company safety guidelines.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
• Ability to follow technical manuals, diagrams, and protocols with precision.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills to provide updates and explain maintenance needs.
• Experience in mechanics, with a solid understanding of various types of equipment.
• Basic plumbing skills, including the ability to handle small repairs and maintenance.
• Competency in painting for general facility upkeep.
• Strong record-keeping skills to maintain maintenance logs and service records.
• Landscaping experience, including lawn care and basic horticultural knowledge, preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality, recreational, or amusement setting.
• Certification or vocational training in mechanics, HVAC, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
