Shipping Clerk at PELSIS NORTH AMERICA LIMITED – Jackson, Georgia

SUMMARY:

The Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments at B&G Equipment Company Inc. This position is responsible for managing the shipping and receiving operations, which includes preparing orders for dispatch and ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and documented. The Shipping Clerk will work closely with warehouse staff to maintain inventory accuracy and facilitate timely deliveries to customers. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to minimize errors and ensure compliance with shipping regulations. Ultimately, the Shipping Clerk contributes to the overall success of the supply chain by ensuring that products reach customers in a timely and efficient manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Utilize RF scanners and bar code systems to track inventory and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse.
• Coordinate with the receiving team to verify incoming shipments and update inventory records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification a plus).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly.
• Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands for handling materials.
• Exposure to warehouse conditions, including noise and temperature fluctuations.
