About the Role:
The Staffing Coordinator/DSD Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective staffing operations at Stillwater Post-Acute, Sand. This position is responsible for coordinating daily staffing schedules, managing employee assignments, and supporting the Direct Support Department (DSD) to maintain optimal workforce coverage. The role requires close collaboration with department managers and human resources to address staffing needs, resolve scheduling conflicts, and facilitate communication between staff and leadership. By maintaining accurate records and proactively anticipating staffing challenges, the coordinator helps to uphold high standards of patient care and operational excellence. Ultimately, this position contributes to a positive work environment by ensuring that staffing resources are aligned with the facility’s needs and compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in staffing coordination, scheduling, or administrative support in a healthcare or post-acute care setting.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a post-acute care or long-term care environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare labor laws and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of employee timekeeping systems and payroll processes.
- Certification in healthcare administration or human resources is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage daily staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts and departments.
- Assist the Direct Support Department by providing administrative support, including tracking staff availability and processing time-off requests.
- Communicate effectively with staff and management to resolve scheduling conflicts and address urgent staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date staffing records, including attendance, shift changes, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with human resources and department leaders to support recruitment efforts and onboarding processes.
- Monitor staffing metrics and report on trends to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Support compliance with labor laws, facility policies, and accreditation standards related to staffing.
