About This Position
Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Compensation:$50,000 + commission and full benefits
Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for cultivating strong relationships with customers, processing orders, providing product information, and supporting outside sales efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email, providing quotes, product details, and order status updates
- Communicate with existing and prospective customers to promote products and services
- Prepare and follow up on sales quotations, pricing, and product availability
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales orders, and communications in CRM or ERP systems
- Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure on-time order fulfillment
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services
- Support outside sales representatives by providing strong customer service and facilitating regular communication
- Monitor open orders, back-orders, and shipping issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participate in sales meetings and training to stay current with product knowledge and market trends
- Meet or exceed individual sales and productivity targets
- All other duties assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or related experience (manufacturing/industrial preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in steel, manufacturing, or technical product sales
- Familiarity with order entry systems and supply chain coordination
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications
