About This Position
Purpose
Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on Chemline’s chemical processing equipment, facility systems, and utility infrastructure. Ensures equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and facility safety while supporting production and continuous improvement initiatives.
Scope and Responsibilities
· Repairs and troubleshooting of chemical processing equipment including pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment.
· Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and tracks data on findings.
· Performs general maintenance repairs to building and facility.
· Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blinds.
· Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
· Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
· Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
· Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
· Performs outside custodial duties as required.
· May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
· Minimum 5+ years mechanical experience in an industrial setting (preferably chemical industry)
· Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing preventive maintenance on chemical pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment
· Solid understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
· Working knowledge of facility machinery and equipment
· Welding and fabrication experience (ARC, MIG, TIG)
· Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
· Pipe fitting experience
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to learn and grow with the company
· High school diploma preferred

· Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
· Regularly required to talk and hear; occasionally required to sit
· Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 100 pounds
