About the role
Orange Barrel Media is seeking a Programmatic DOOH Operations & Analytics Specialist to join our team, reporting to the VP of Data & Insights and working closely with the Programmatic Sales team. This role combines technical programmatic operations with data analysis to optimize our digital out-of-home advertising supply-side operations. You will be responsible for maintaining platform efficiency, analyzing campaign performance, and providing actionable insights to drive revenue growth. Your insights and operational excellence will drive the evolution of OBM’s programmatic DOOH monetization strategy.
What you'll do
Platform Operations & Maintenance
- Manage and update supply-side platform (SSP) configurations including CPMs, venue data, impression multipliers, and inventory specifications across all partner platforms
- Optimize SSP configurations and PMP deal setups to maximize campaign fill rates and revenue yield.
- Monitor creative approval workflows, ensuring ads meet technical specifications and brand safety requirements
- Track inventory health daily and communicate outages or technical issues to DSP, agency, and SSP partners
Data Analysis & Performance Optimization
- Analyze bid activity, pacing trends, and play return rates to identify optimization opportunities and troubleshoot performance issues
- Collaborate with OBM Analytics leads to create automated reports and dashboards that show real-time campaign metrics and inventory performance to stakeholders
- Create clear recommendations for improving campaign delivery and revenue
- Design and run tests to compare different pricing strategies, inventory packages, and targeting
- Work with technical teams to optimize dynamic pricing algorithms and inventory allocation systems
- Analyze historical performance data to help plan inventory allocation and optimize yield management
Technical Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance
- Investigate and resolve bidding issues, low play return rates, and campaign delivery problems to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor and validate that monthly impression data from measurement providers is correctly integrated across all SSPs
- Ensure data accuracy across all advertising platforms and implement quality checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in programmatic ad operations, preferably with DOOH or supply-side platforms
- Strong understanding of the programmatic DOOH ecosystem and its technical components, including SSPs, DSPs, and ad serving technology
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar) and ability to create automated reporting
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical teams, sales, and external partners
- Knowledge of DOOH measurement providers, creative specifications, and inventory management principles
The pay range for this role is:
95,000 - 110,000 USD per year(New York, NY )
