Certified Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist – RN or FMG at Sage Clinical RCM, LLC – Gulfport, Mississippi

Sage Clinical RCM, LLC is seeking an experienced Denial Management Specialist with strong Athena (AthenaOne) expertise to support our revenue cycle operations. This role focuses on denial resolution, accounts follow-up, root-cause reporting, and performance improvement for our physician/ambulatory clients.

• Manage and resolve Athena claim denials, including:
  • Coding-related denials
  • Eligibility / registration
  • Authorization / referral issues
  • Payer-specific edits
  • Timely filing
• Conduct detailed A/R follow-up within Athena and payer portals.
• Identify denial root causes and trends.
• Prepare weekly and monthly denial reports for leadership and clients.
• Collaborate with providers, coding, and front-end teams to correct upstream issues.
• Work denials to completion to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Maintain documentation and notes within Athena according to RCM best practices.
