Seagate Development Group is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our growing portfolio of commercial and residential properties. This role is ideal for a “jack of all trades” professional with strong HVAC expertise who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain building systems while delivering high-quality service and responsiveness.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring our properties operate efficiently, safely, and at the high standard expected of the Seagate brand.Key Responsibilities
HVAC
- Install, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including:
- Rooftop Units (RTUs)
- Split systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
- Identify system inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and safety standards
- Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records
- Perform a wide range of building maintenance and repairs, including:
- Electrical (basic troubleshooting and fixture replacement)
- Plumbing (leaks, fixtures, minor piping repairs)
- Carpentry (doors, drywall, trim, cabinetry)
- Painting and finishing work
- Respond to service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct routine inspections of properties and identify maintenance needs
- Assist with vendor coordination and oversee third-party service providers as needed
- Support property turn readiness and capital improvement projects
- Ensure all work meets Seagate’s Quality standards
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments
- Assist with emergency maintenance issues as needed (including after-hours or on call response)
- Accurately document all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance activities, to support compliance, asset tracking, and operational efficiency.
- Certified HVAC Technician (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, repair, and service
- Proven experience working with RTU and split systems in commercial settings
- Strong general maintenance skills across multiple trades (“jack of all trades”)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Response time to maintenance requests
- First-time fix rate for HVAC and general repairs
- Preventative maintenance completion rate
- Equipment uptime and system efficiency
- Tenant/resident satisfaction
- Adherence to Schedule, Budget, and Quality standards
- ≥ 95% of work orders completed with accurate, timely documentation within 24 hours
