Staff Accountant at Weathervane Capital Partners – Grove City, Pennsylvania

This position is hybrid remote, with the Financial team based in Western PA. Work may be primarily remote, with initial training in-office and as needed at the discretion of the CFO.

Job Summary:

This role works directly with the CFO and provides exposure to multi-entity accounting, real estate investments, and operating platforms. The Staff Accountant will support the growing portfolio of real estate investments, including senior living, hospitality, and other commercial assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
• Assist with multi-entity and consolidated financial reporting
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
• Support accounting for real estate assets and operating businesses
• Assist with budget vs. actual analysis and cash flow tracking
• Prepare schedules for audits, tax filings, and lender reporting
• Maintain organized financial records and internal controls
• Identify process and reporting improvements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2–5 years of accounting experience

Preferred:

• Real estate, hospitality, or senior living experience
• Multi-entity or fund accounting exposure
• Experience with Sage Intacct
• CPA (or progress toward)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with integrative accounting software platforms
• Technologically proficient in Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel
• Active Driver’s License in good standing. Personal vehicle coverage with liability limits of at least $300,000 combined single limit or liability limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per occurrence.
• Exceptional proactive time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Sound judgement and a strong ethical foundation in decision-making.
