Spirit of the Position: The LAZ Utilities/Janitorial Associate plays a vital role in ensuring our airport facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for all guests and employees. This position is responsible for performing routine cleaning, upkeep, and utility duties throughout the airports parking and common areas.

Principal Job Duties:

• Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom upkeep

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in parking facilities, breakrooms, and other designated areas

• Operate basic cleaning equipment and follow proper safety procedures

• Assist with snow/ice removal, litter control, and other utility functions as needed

• Report maintenance and safety issues promptly to management

• Provide excellent customer service to guests and staff, following the LAZ G.E.T. 100 standard (Greet, Engage, and Thank the Guest 100% of the time)

• Support the airport operations team in ensuring facilities meet the highest cleanliness and safety standards

Requirements:

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or general maintenance experience preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

• Must pass required background checks and airport security clearance processes

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent bending, kneeling, and walking for extended periods

• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
