Summary of Position
The Physical Therapist provides professional rehabilitative and wellness services to homeowners and members within the recreation center. This position focuses on improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall quality of life in a welcoming and community-oriented environment. As an independent contractor, the therapist manages their own scheduling and client interactions while upholding the association’s standards of care and customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in an outpatient, wellness, or community setting.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional liability and malpractice insurance required.
- Ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships with clients and staff.
- Insurance: Must provide proof of current liability and malpractice coverage.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and wellness education in a safe and encouraging manner.
- Collaborate with recreation and fitness staff to promote holistic wellness opportunities for members.
- Educate clients on injury prevention, posture, and home exercise techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of client sessions and treatment outcomes.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards of practice, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling, client communication, and invoicing as an independent contractor.

Physical demands
Lifting 50 lbs. with frequent lifting and or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 lbs. Requires waiting, walking, or standing to a significant degree. Reaching. Handling. Talking. Listening. Ability to demonstrate and instruct physical exercises in a group or individual format.
