Accounts Receivable Administrator at Kelly Generator & Equipment Inc – Owings, Maryland

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and providing excellent internal and external customer support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong organizational skills.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process customer credit card payments and associated reporting
• Receive and process customer check payments
• Post all customer payments to accounts
• Analyze deposit variances and make corrections as needed
• Research and address credit card disputed transactions
• Process customer refunds and invoice credit requests
• Monitor AR email group and forward as needed
• Process request for COI, W-9, and electronic payment information
• Answer internal and external customers calls for information and assistance
• Assist with monitoring sales tax transactions on Avalara platform
• Perform various reconciliations
• Perform other related tasks as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Excel
• Proficient in accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Able to meet deadlines and have attention to detail

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting related tasks

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
